My husband and I have one go to brand and bold Italian roast. We measure all products up to that one because none can meet our preference until we tried the Melitta Cafe de Europa Espresso Toscana. I thought it was going to be too strong, but was surprised to see its bold flavor is equal to our favorite K-Cup bold roast. The funny thing is that we didn't like it on the first sip because it had that bitterness. But after waiting a few minutes to let it cool down, it was just right. So let it sit for a couple of minutes before trying it.

We also tried the Cafe de Europa Blanc et Noir, Light. The Toscana wins.

It looked like a few small grounds slipped through the filter. However, I've found grounds in my cup even with a regular K-Cup. While the filter cup is cool, I think it's wasteful to have two containers: one to store the K-Cup and the K-Cup itself. With most brands, it's just one container -- the K-Cup, which goes into the brewer.

Price-wise. I think it's about average or maybe a little higher. Our favorite brand only has 10 in a box whereas this has 12.
