This tea is marvelous. Let's start with the packaging.

Your packaging may vary, but the packaging currently shown in the picture matches my own. It's beautiful, twice as big as normal 20-bag tea boxes, and lists the proper brew temperature and the caffeine content (40-60mg per sachet on my box, but check your own if it's important. These things can and do change!) The packaging, while not terribly important for my own use, would identify this tea as a worthy gift.

The individual wraps on the "single silken sachet" of "whole tea leaf" is equally beautiful, though slightly less informative. It does describe 'light and smooth citrus tones' contained therein.

And oh boy, are they!

This tea is exceptionally mild, as many white teas are. The white tea flavor and citrus flavor balance very lightly, and vanilla almost steals the show. If you like a lot of flavor to your tea, this isn't it! But if you value white teas for their subtlety, this one will knock you over with a feather.

There's enough subtlety here that you can tweak the flavor a bit. With a hotter, shorter steep, you can draw out the flavoring oils and get a brighter flavor with more citrus and vanilla. If you're more of a purist, you can steep a tad longer with a lower temp to get more earthy flavor out of the white tea, pushing the flavoring to the background. Remember that this is a white tea, so don't go *too* hot or steep *too* long. But hey, it's your cuppa: drink it the way you want to!

As with any tea I appreciate, this does not get bitter unless you oversteep it, and it doesn't make me vibrate.
