I had previously purchased a tea ball that had a hinge that closed with a lever lock at the seam of the ball. (around the circumference) This new ball is easier to work with and seems much sturdier which given the relative lightness of an item made mainly of steel mesh is impressive. I probably could have given a 5 star rating except for the fact that I am a persnickety cuss and notoriously difficult to please.
